Throughout my life I have been connected to the television industry, whether it was watching it, being at DirecTV while my mom worked there, or while I was on set for various productions. I believe that my fascination with television and movies has come from this, as well as my desire to take photos and videos of everyday things, that are just naturally beautiful. Sometimes I see a sunset or the orange glow of an early moon rising, and I think to myself, "Oh wow that would be an amazing scene." I had tried to shoot some amateur videos with some friends for YouTube, but discovered they were not as devoted to the filming and editing as I was.
When I saw the movie 'Super 8' it inspired me more than ever to truly pursue my passion for writing, and filming my own short videos. I have always had strength in writing, but had not found it meaningful or interesting until I realized that my favorite parts of television shows, and movies, are the stories they tell. Since I was little, I could quote random dialogue. The dialogue and the vision combines to tell a story, and that story came out of someone's writing. I hope my writing and productions will touch others the way I've been touched by others.
